On mentor sessions, people often ask me how to improve their Behance and make it more appealing. So here is my personal list of 10 recommendation, which make your profile pop:

1. First and most Make a PERSONAL URL! Instead of behance.net/09234242 use this —> behance.net/YOURNAME

2. Update your avatar picture and cover. Showcase a warm and approachable photo of yourself. Feature samples of your work on the cover alongside with a personal headline.

3. Update introduction text under your avatar. Create a clear message to your audience about what you do and what value will you give them.

4. Upgrade your links. List your relevant links to your social network which you actually use, not all of them. I recommend: LinkedIn, Dribbble, Instagram, X, YouTube, but only if you actually have content there. Also add a personal website link, it always gives extra value to your work.

5. Add description to your profile. Write a few sentences about your experiences, values and what makes you unique. Create a custom section in description and make there a list of your services and technologies, that you use.

6. Add Services with description and prices.

7. Think less is better! Archive your old projects, leave only your best work even if they have less likes. (Amount of Likes does not always correspond to the quality of the project.)

8. Rewrite your best cases. Use structure: about, task, your role, what you did, results, outcomes, footer section with your clickable contacts in text (not on the image).

9. Use simple and bright and bold project covers/thumbnails. Don’t and text or titles on them. Use image that shows what this project is about. Try to make all covers in similar style, so your profile looks consistent.

10. Don’t forget to include project description and keywords/tags which can describe the project, so people can find it through a search.

☄️ I’m sure these small touches will make your Behance profile look more profession and appealing.
